Yes, hate is a strong word. And, no, I don’t really mean it. It’s sort of like when you’re young and you have your first crush, and you think this must be love. Then the guy turns out to be a big jerk so you decide to hate him even though you love him, and […]
I’ve been concerned lately about respecting the privacy of my kids. I don’t mean privacy as in knowing what’s in their rooms or checking my daughter’s text message history. I’ve got no problem with that. What I mean is whether their lives are open books to the world, i.e., blog fodder. See, almost daily, something […]
It’s almost 3 a.m. and storming like crazy outside, and quite likely because I didn’t take a magic sleep pill before it got too late (because I didn’t want to fall asleep before the end of the book), I can’t sleep. I heard this morning that Point of Grace is going to release a country CD. A local radio station previewed one of their songs and one line in particular stood out to me: “make peace with God and yourself because in the end there’s no one else.” Something to think about.
I heard a song on the radio today for the first time but I don’t think it’s new. It’s called “Little Girl” by John Michael Montgomery. Listen/watch here. It may or may not make you cry, but it will definitely make you think.
I’ve said it before but this is one of the best worship songs, in my opinion. Have a listen: Hillsong’s “Mighty To Save”. Praise God!
Last night I met some old high school friends for dinner. I hadn’t seen a couple of them in a decade probably. I knew it had been quite awhile but to tally up the years is quite daunting. While driving to the restaurant, I was surfing radio stations and stopped on one that fit my […]
