Saying there’s so much to do in the DC area is probably the understatement of the millennia. But there’s even more than just museums and monuments and memorials, oh my.  Here are a few of our highlights:
We spent a morning in Georgetown …
And walked (down) the Exorcist Stairs and stepped back in history at The Old Stone House.
We spent Christmas evening at the Kennedy Center …
And enjoyed the All-Star Christmas Day Jazz Jam, a part of the free concert series from the Millenium Stage.
I *might* have looked suspicious …
Taking pictures of the outside of the FBI Building; too bad we couldn’t go in.
On the road trip back from Gettysburg …
We stopped for Festival of Lights (and life-size nativity scene) at the DC Temple.
And even the transportation was an adventure …
Though we walked most places, we did grab taxis or ubers at least a few times. Along the way, Bryan conversed with our drivers … one from Benin and one from Eritrea … two African countries we’d never heard of before.
So I guess it’s apropos that it took me a month to write up everything about our trip, and we’ll have these memories forever.
