And it only lasted 6 days. Today, when I picked Wonder Boy up from his new pre-k school, his teacher warned me that there was a note in his folder about his behavior. I should have known the last few days of “he’s an angel” were too good to be true. Â I was trying to believe that the fresh start at a new school would erase the worry of him being kicked out on a monthly, weekly or even daily basis. Silly me. Here’s what the note said:
“[Wonder Boy] was not making good choices today. He would not sit on the carpet and chose to roll around on the floor and stand on his head. In line for breakfast, he had a kicking battle with another student. He was running around the cafeteria after lunch and when [the teacher’s aide] tried to take his hand and lead him back to our line, he just rolled around on the floor. At naptime, he kept putting his feet on others’ posters after being asked to stop.”
I sort of got the feeling that the note would have continued had the paper been bigger. But his teacher did say it was nothing they couldn’t handle. Aww, bless her heart. Don’t jinx us.
