I’ve been driving myself crazy lately trying to be a webmaster. I like to play around with design and can do a pretty good bit just simply through trial and error. I’ve determined that for someone like me who isn’t an expert in HTML but knows enough to get in trouble, the key is the editor software. Of course, I’m also a bit tight with money and only want to use freeware.
I updated our firm website, but it still needs work and I think it’s because I can’t figure out how to set “browser proportionate” in the freeware editor I used. After the fact, I found a different freeware editor that’s pretty dang awesome and used it to do our farm website. I’m definitely liking it better and trying to figure out the easiest way to “recreate” the firm website in this new, better editor.
The issue lately, however, has been what to do about my blog. I was trying to “move” it to the farm site, but none of the plug-ins available from my web host seem to support Blogger. After having looked at several options and trying to make it work the way I want until I’m blue in the face, I officially give up. I like Blogger. I like the way my blog is set-up. I understand how to make it work and how to change things when I want to. Plus, isn’t it pretty??? For now, I guess I’ll just have to link it or republish farm-related posts (which shouldn’t be that much extra work, since I’m not posting as frequently as of late). Yep, probably a dud.
