Every day when I pick The Girl up from school, she proceeds to tell me all about her day. Her stories are typically very detailed and pretty entertaining, considering the perspective of an 8-year-old. I’ve been telling her that she should start writing her stories down. She keeps a journal at school, and I’ve read some of the entries throughout the school year. Today, when we got home, I asked her if she wanted to write about her day. She excitedly said “yes” and grabbed a piece of paper. Then she paused and said, “Momma, can I type it on the computer like you do?” Awhhh, shucks. So here it is: Fantastic Blog (requires permission; I mean, hey, she’s still my little girl). She named it, came up with the description and picked out the colors and template layout. I don’t know if she’ll stick with it or not, but it can’t hurt to start her writing early.
